Satakieli does not have a zipper or darts, which makes it easy even for a beginner to sew. Choose sateen for a festive look and go for thin cotton for a more casual look. If you want your Satakieli in jersey, choose one size smaller than usual. You can sew this dress with a trim at the hem (shorter pattern) or you can gather the hem with an elastic band.
